This problem is still open. In this talk we will discuss this problem and its relation to the turbulence problem. This is the problem to find and prove the statistical properties of turbulent flow. We explain how these problems were identified, more than 150 years ago, by O. Reynolds and which problems one has to solve depends on the dimensionless Reynolds number that he defined. We will discuss the recent solution of the turbulence problem and how the techniques developed in its resolution may eventually lead to the solution of the millennium problem.
